Rock Cycle
The rock cycle is a series of processes in which a rock forms, change from one type of rock to another. Then the rock is destroyed, and forms again by geological processes. There is a series of eight processes that shape rocks. The series can start in any order but stays in the same order of process. The first process is weathering which is the process in which wind, water, ice break down a rock. The next step is erosion or the process by which wind, water, ice, or gravity transports soil and sediment from one location to another. Deposition is the process in which material is laid down. After deposition the sediment becomes very compact and it cements together. Metamorphism is the process in which heat and pressure change a sedimentary rock to a metamorphic rock. The next process is melting of the rock. Then the melted rock cools and solidifies to ingenious rock.Composition is the identification or chemical make up of a rock.
